What I like most about Teva is the company's sustainability agenda. By sustainability I mean everything related to our environment and how we support the planet to be greener, everything related to social, for example all the activities that we put to have a more inclusive and equitable working place and last but not least, governance, which is all about ethics and compliance.

My name is Erick Tyssier and I'm a Senior Director of Government Affairs and ESG Lead for Europe. My job is about interacting with policy makers and really sharing our views about the policy and legislative process to best support our missions and making sure that this is being understood by our employees.

The three trends that I'm currently interested in are:

First, access to medicines

Second, manufacturing resilience

And third, working sustainably.

Trend number one is about ensuring that patients get access to the medicines that they need when they need them. Here we are really engaging policy makers to discuss security of supply and shortages, elaborating on the root causes of the pain points that we see, which stop us from providing the medicines to patients.

Trend number two is all about supply and manufacturing resilience. We are discussing with policy makers the best conditions to attract, secure and defend our investments in our operations. For example, in Ulm we have state-of-the-art complex biological manufacturing. We are very proud of that investment that we've made in Germany, an investment of more than one billion euros and we are using this example to discuss with policymakers about what we need in terms of framework to sustain these investments.

Trend number three is about working sustainably. I think there is a high level expectation of our employees to contribute meaningfully to the challenge that we are currently facing. Would it be the environmental challenge or would it be the societal challenge, we are here to support that trend and to give our employees the right conditions to work meaningfully.
