Teva partners with Fracción to bring medicines to remote communities in Chile

Have you heard of “pharmacy deserts”?

In Chile, there are 50 communities, home to about 300,000 people who face access to medicines challenges due to their remote locations. Teva partnered with Fracción, a social-oriented Chilean start-up, to help these patients, bringing physical pharmacies to these communities.

The first one opened in Cochamó, in the far south of Chile. Teva is already working to expand the network of pharmacies within Chile and other countries in Latin America that face similar barriers. The prospects are amazing, and we can’t wait to see how this project develops. More to come!
