Teva's National Network of Excellence (NNE)

About the NNE

The "National Network of Excellence in Neuroscience" (NNE), initiated by Teva, was established to support academic research in Israel and create a collaborative ecosystem for discovering and developing novel therapeutic approaches to diseases of the brain, which strike at the very core of what it is to be a human being.

Israel is a world leader in neuroscience research, ranked 5th globally in neuroscience publications per capita.

The NNE collaboration seeks to harness this expertise in a community drawn from 10 of the leading universities and teaching hospitals in Israel.

This work is already getting noticed and research progress generated from the NNE initiative, has already led to numerous publications in leading scientific journals.

NNE Teva Talk at Biomed

Visitors to Teva's exhibition at the Biomed meeting in Tel Aviv will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of stimulating, thought-provoking 15-min Teva Talk sessions.

Teva Talks are short, sharp and snappy (like TED talks).

Award winning students along with the cream of Israel's neuroscience research community will be on stage to share up-to-date insights and the impressive research progress recently accomplished.

Additionally, senior executives and leading speakers will articulate Biomed industrial innovations, the future of pharma R&D, technological evolutions, the future of Israel's economy and much more!

So get your daily dose of debate at the Teva booth, and get up-to-speed on the current trends in the biomed world!

A New NNE Class: 11 Exciting New Research Projects Funded

Since the establishment of the program in 2012, the NNE's scientists have already made advances. Promising work is ongoing in devastating illness such as Alzheimer’s disease,
Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Huntington Disease and Parkinson's disease.

Support for these efforts continues with the recent announcement of the 2015 NNE grants' recipients.
Following rigorous assessments, Teva proudly welcomes the new class of grant recipients and their mentors into the NNE scientific community.

The new NNE Class includes of 11 outstanding Post-Doctoral fellows and PhD Graduate Students from leading academic institutes and medical centers.

This pursuit of new therapeutic strategies, collectively by Teva and leading academic investigators, signals to be a powerful mean to accelerate scientific discovery against the formidable challenges presented by neurodegenerative diseases.
