The opening of the new multi-purpose synthesis plant at Teva’s Croatian site in Savski Marof marks the end of the greatest investment cycle in PLIVA’s history, worth over one billion kuna. The new plant, worth half a billion kuna, will double production capacities in some segments at Savski Marof. More than 95 % of products will be exported to the largest markets around the word.
At the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Orešković also remarked, "We can see that Croatia today can be competitive, not only at the regional level, but in Europe and beyond. PLIVA does not invest only in state-of-the-art technology, but also in research, people and education. It is one of the biggest Croatian exporters and, as far as I know, new investments are about to be made." He also added that PLIVA and its parent company Teva always observe delivery deadlines, which was appreciated by clients worldwide.
Along with Prime Minister Orešković, the opening ceremony for Teva’s new plant in Savski Marof was attended by Croatian Minister of Economy Tomislav Panenić, Minister of Environmental and Nature Protection Slaven Dobrović and other distinguished guests.
